Sandygate in Sheffield, home of Hallam FC since 1860, is widely called the oldest football ground on earth, with nearby Bramall Lane following soon after. Among famous current venues, Stamford Bridge opened in 1877 and Anfield in 1884, though Chelsea only arrived in 1905 and Liverpool in 1892.
