Overview

Rising on Krestovsky island from a design by Kisho Kurokawa, the spaceship bowl took more than a decade to complete. It staged the 2018 World Cup semi final and Euro 2020 quarter final matches. Zenit league crowds fill about 56,000 seats. Cost overruns made it one of the most expensive stadiums ever built.
