Overview

Built for repeated Istanbul Olympic bids, it became immortal in 2005: Liverpool trailed Milan 3-0 at half time in the Champions League final, levelled, and won on penalties, the Miracle of Istanbul. It hosted the 2023 Champions League final too, Manchester City against Inter. Turkey internationals and cup finals fill the giant bowl of about 75,000.
