Wembley Stadium
Opened 2007, home of the England national team in London
Overview
The rebuilt Wembley replaced the 1923 twin towers original with a 133 meter arch visible across London, the tallest of its kind in the world. It seats 90,000, the largest capacity in the United Kingdom, and stages FA Cup finals, playoff finals and regular European finals. The old stadium hosted the 1948 Olympics and the 1966 World Cup final, the only England World Cup triumph. Concerts, boxing and American football fill the calendar between matches.
