Overview

Built for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, it is among the largest stadiums in Asia at about 87,000. Malaysia cup finals and international occasions fill it, and touring European clubs pack it in preseason. The southern tier of Kuala Lumpur grew around it into a sports city.
