The largest stadium in Europe, opened in 1957 and filled by the Cruyff, Maradona, Ronaldinho and Messi eras. It staged the 1982 World Cup opening ceremony and the 1992 Olympic football final. A sweeping Espai Barca rebuild began in 2023, exiling the club to Montjuic while capacity climbs toward 105,000. The bowl regularly drew six figure attendances in the 1980s.
