Santiago Bernabeu
Opened 1947, home of Real Madrid
Overview
Named for the president who rebuilt the club, it opened in 1947 and has hosted four European Cup finals, more than any other stadium. The 2020s transformation wrapped the bowl in steel louvers, added a retractable roof and pitch side screens, and installed a pitch that slides into an underground greenhouse. Capacity is about 81,000, with revenue ambitions beyond any rival.
