Estadio Jose Alvalade

Opened 2003, home of Sporting CP in Lisbon

Overview

Part of the Alvalade XXI complex with mall and cinema stacked around the bowl, it opened for Euro 2004. The academy beside it produced Luis Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo and the 2000s golden classes. Capacity is about 50,000, loud under the swooping roof. Lisbon big three nights here are among the fiercest in Portugal.
