Overview

Named for an irrigation canal crossing the site, it opened in 1923. The steep main stand looms over the pitch, with the top rows among the closest and highest in Europe. Plans for a Nou Mestalla began in 2007, stalled for over a decade, and work finally resumed in the 2020s. A century of noise has made it a fortress few visitors enjoy.
