Overview

Anoeta originally had an athletics track that kept fans far from the pitch, and a rebuild completed around 2019 removed it and brought the stands much closer. The renamed Reale Arena holds about 39,000. Real Sociedad celebrated a Copa del Rey win in 2021 and regular European qualification in the modern stadium.
