Overview

The national stadium hosted the 1962 World Cup final, won by Brazil against Czechoslovakia. After the 1973 coup it was used as a detention and torture center, a history now marked by a memorial in the stands. Renovated in 2010, it hosts Chile national team matches and staged the 2015 Copa America final, which Chile won.
