Overview

Built in 1933 and used at the 1934 World Cup, the stadium was shared by Juventus and Torino for decades before both moved to the Stadio delle Alpi in 1990. Renovated for the 2006 Winter Olympics, where it staged the opening and closing ceremonies, it became home to Torino again. It is named in memory of the Grande Torino team lost in the Superga air disaster of 1949.
